Ways to remove barriers are discussed throughout this course, involving proactive initiatives to become more inclusive and diverse.

These include:

• Awareness and education
• Fostering an inclusive culture
• Examining the job hiring process, and the use of inclusive language in advertisements
• Implementing policies that involve consideration for people with disabilities
• Identifying and removing any physical barriers
• Making accommodations, adaptations or adjustments where possible

If they have not been already examined, these topics will be explored further in upcoming sessions.
